The first Denver calibration crusade took place from 3 June 1998 through 12 June 1998 and concentrated on the conversion characteristics of about 150 electron volt neutral oxygen incident on the tungsten surface. This figure shows energy scans of scattered negative ions off a tungsten surface from both an incident negative ion beam and an incident neutral beam. In both cases, the beam hit at an angle of about 15 degrees relative to the surface. The ion beam scan exhibits an apparent elastic scattering peak at 150 eV and appears slightly broader than the neutral beam scan.
